Coach Jim Harbaugh is busy getting the team ready for the new football season, but the entire world took notice last week when Michigan unveiled their new Jumpman brand Nike uniforms to the world. It was not just the fans clamoring to get the new Jumpman gear, potential recruits were also talking about how the new gear is enhancing interest in the Michigan brand all over the country.

My Fair Lady

The Encore Theatre Company is putting on performances of the classic musical My Fair Lady directed by Emmy and Tony winning director (and former husband of Julie Andrews) Tony Walton. The production stars broadway and television alum Daniel Gerroll as Henry Higgins and Jessica Grove as Eliza Doolittle. The show starts at 7 p.m. on the 11th, 8 p.m. on the 12th, 2 and 7 p.m. on the 13th, and at 3 p.m. on the 14th and you can purchase your tickets in advance.

Doug Halladay’s Jupiter Moon’s Rising

Detroit-area composer Doug Halladay will premier seven of his new compositions at the Kerrytown Concert House on August 12th. The performance will include many prominent area jazz musicians and the inspiration for the compositions is the planet Jupiter.

The show will start at 8 p.m.

Women’s Soccer plays Virginia on August 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the U-M Soccer Stadium.

The Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase brings former punk rock drummer turned comedian Jason Benci to Ann Arbor. He promises to bring the dark side to straight edge comedy and is considered one of the up and coming young voices in Michigan comedy. The shows start at 8:00 and 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday Night.
