Michigan Football
Congratulations to Coach Jim Harbaugh and his staff for the masterful win over Florida in the Citrus bowl. Now that the season is officially over, we can look forward to the coaching staff wrapping up the last few recruits necessary to make Michigan’s recruiting class the consensus number one class in the nation. Restaurant Week
Ann Arbor Restaurant week starts Sunday January 17th and will run through January 22nd. 54 restaurants are participating this year and the Restaurant Week website has been redesigned to make it easier to know if restaurants:
- Offer Lunch
- Offer two-for-one pricing
- Or offer vegan and/or vegetarian options on the menu
The price fix prices are $28 per person for dinner and $15 per person for lunch. Evenings fill up quickly, especially at the most popular locations, so make your reservations early (you can call the restaurants directly to make your reservations).
The Ann Arbor Symphony Celebrates Mozart
On Saturday January 16th, The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra will perform Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio as part of their celebration of Mozart’s birthday.
The concert will start at 8 pm and will be performed at The Michigan Theater. While the Opera is sung in German there will be a narrator to make sure everyone understands.
Sports Options for U of M Parents and Fans

- Women’s Basketball will play Maryland at Crisler Center January 14th starting at 6:00 p.m.
- Wrestling will take on Illinois at Cliff Keen Arena January 15th starting at 7:00 p.m.
- Women’s Gymnastics will compete against Ohio State at Crisler Center January 16th starting at 4:00 p.m.
- Women’s Tennis will compete in the Michigan Invitational at the Varsity Tennis Center on January 16th and 17th against competition and at a time to be determined.
- Ice Hockey will play Ohio State at Yost Ice Arena on January 17th starting at 5:05 p.m.
Looking For Laughs
The Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase is hosting comedian Keith Alberstadt from January 14th – 16th. Mr. Alberstadt has appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman, on Last Comic Standing, and is a contributing writer to Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update.
