Harbaugh and Fall Football
One of the biggest changes in the area over the last year has been the return of former Michigan QB Jim Harbaugh as the 20th head coach of the University of Michigan Football Team. Fall camp will start for him this August.
In case you are starting to make plans to attend games, the first home game will be against the Oregon State Beavers of the Pac-12 Conference at Michigan Stadium on Saturday September 12th (time TBA).
Several Wolverines were added to NFL Rosters after the NFL Draft – QB Devin Gardner is a Patriot, TE Devin Funchess is a Panther, Jake Ryan is a Packer, Frank Clark is a Seahawk, and K Matt Wile is a unsigned free agent Panther while OLB Brennan Beyer is an unsigned free agent Raven.
Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer – Jeff Beck
On May 14th, the Michigan Theater will welcome two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Eight time Grammy Award Winning Guitarist Jeff Beck to Ann Arbor. Beck played in the classic band ‘The Yardbirds’ (the band also featured Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page) and was rated the 5th greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine.
Roger McGuinn, also a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and legendary founding member of the Byrds will play the Michigan Theater on May 16th. McGuinn is considered instrumental to infusing a folk style of guitar playing into rock and also being an innovator in psychedelic rock.

On May 14th, the Kerrytown Concert House will offer a performance of works by Prokofiev, Stravinsky, and Tchaikovsky by Classical artists Aaron Berofsky, Christopher Harding, and Yeonjin Kim.
Hungry for Burgers
The winner of the 2014 Best Burger in Ann Arbor was ‘the Frita’ at Frita Batidos. Chef Eve Aronofsky will be bringing her incredible culinary skills to a new restaurant in the Bell Tower Hotel during the Summer of 2015.

Practically Perfect Fun on Campus
The musical version of Disney’s classic film Mary Poppins will land at the Power Center for the Performing Arts May 15-17th. The musical was nominated for 9 Olivier and 7 Tony Awards during its Broadway Run. The Young People’s Theater will be telling the story of the Banks family and the magical arrival of their new nanny who is practically perfect in every way.
Sports Options For U of M Parents and Fans
Good luck to all of the teams competing this week for the University of Michigan here or on the road! Go Blue! All of the following University of Michigan teams will be playing at home this week:
Michigan’s Baseball Team plays Oklahoma State University at 6 pm May 14th, at 6:00 pm May 15th, and at 12:00 pm on May 16th – all games will be at the Wilpon Complex.
Michigan’s Softball Team will play in the NCAA regionals from the 15 – 17th, the regionals could be at the, Wilpon Complex.

Matt McClowry a staple of comedy festivals around the country and performer on XM Sirius Radio and on Comcast Television will bring his comedy stylings to the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase on May 15-16th.
